This month we feature Molly Young Brown, whose contributions to the Work That Reconnects – including co-authoring Coming Back to Life – span decades. Connecting with Your Ancestors

Mutima Imani · Feb 21, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Our Ancestors are waiting for us to pay attention to them, to acknowledge them, and our lives begin within them. We carry them in our minds, bodies and spirits. They made great sacrifices and made great choices for us to be able to be alive. As we honor them, we honor the miracle of having a body, mind and a spirit. We become connected to a whole lineage and legacy that is manifesting in us.

Frieda Nixdorf · Feb 14, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Each of them left us with eyes wide open to the injustices and challenges as well as the possibilities. And their passing opens the doors for new leaders and actions based on the inspiration they sowed.

In many Work That Reconnects communities, facilitators offer a ritual Welcome at the opening of a workshop. This practice is intended to help all participants feel included; it can also alert members of dominant or privileged groups that a broad spectrum of the human family may be present.

Deepening into Gratitude

Frieda Nixdorf · Nov 24, 2021 · Leave a Comment

As the Work That Reconnects Network continues to apply anti-oppression and decolonization frameworks to the Work That Reconnects, the Weaver’s team reflects on this season of gratitude and the opportunity to deepen our awareness and connection to the local Indigenous communities of the land we live with and Indigenous communities world wide.
