For the next issue of Deep Times, to be published at the Equinox, March 2023, the editorial team has unanimously decided to have an open theme. We have many submissions on hand from past issues (which didn’t quite fit previous themes) that we’d like to share. Moreover, some of you may have responses to articles […]
by Network Staff Many things are happening behind the scenes at the Work That Reconnects Network that we love sharing with the wider Network community: We are embracing a Workers Self-Directed Nonprofit structure: It is all about living the Great Turning. While we have been working on an inclusive and quite organic environment for years, […]
Welcome to the September 2022 issue of Deep Times: A Journal of the Work That Reconnects. For this issue, we called for submissions: …from all over the world, particularly outside the US, to show how the Work That Reconnects or other related or more ancient deep ecology ritual and practices are helping people grapple with […]
Dear WTR Network Family and Friends, The new edition of Active Hope begins by acknowledging how increasingly urgent the call to action has become in the ten years since the book was first published. Co-authors Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone remind us that the realities we are facing can seem insurmountable. In times like these we are […]
The WTR Network Weavers team is deep in the process of redesigning the Network website. The new website will offer a truly global gathering space, with many languages and practices, and authentic images and voices. It will be easier to navigate and fully searchable. We hope writers, poets, and artists steeped in the Work That Reconnects will be inspired to explore how the Work can help transform the patriarchal paradigm into one of respect and empowerment for all people, all genders, all skin colors, all cultures, all life.
In 2013 Old Dog Documentaries had the honor of interviewing Joanna Macy for their film The Wisdom to Survive – Climate Change, Capitalism & Community. Now eight years later we want to share parts of that interview that have not been seen before. We feel Joanna’s wisdom and Rilke’s poetry have the power to help […]
