ONLINE! Active Hope: Rekindling Resilience for Covid/Climate Anxiety and Racial Justice
Jul 18, 2020 @ 11:00 am - Jul 19, 2020 @ 5:00 pm CDT$70 – $150
Facilitated by Kathleen Rude. This 2-day online workshop is designed with ample breaks, varied interactive experiences, time offline for individual exercises and reflections and will be limited to 24 participants to ensure a quality community experience.
Saturday, 11:00am – 5:00pm Central Standard Time (UTC -5) AND Sunday, 11:00am – 5:00pm Central Standard Time (UTC -5)
In this workshop, we will move through the spiral of The Work That Reconnects with the understanding that we are all in this together, and we are all in this differently! Through our exploration, we will cultivate and strengthen our resilience to engage with the Covid-19, climate crisis, racial and environmental injustice, upcoming elections, and overall anxiety in our lives.
We will spend time online in community and offline in self-reflection (with time outside if you’re able) to receive inspiration and healing for our weary, overwhelmed hearts and souls. In supportive and trustworthy space, we will honor our pain for the world, reconnect to active hope and find clarity around how we can play a part in the healing of our communities and our beautiful planet.
This retreat includes experiential practices, inspirational readings, singing and simple rituals. It’s engaging, invigorating and gives you tools for dealing with the challenges of living in difficult times.

“Active Hope is not wishful thinking…Active Hope is waking up to the beauty of life on whose behalf we can act. We belong to this world. The web of life is calling us forth at this time and we are here to play our part. Active Hope is a readiness to discover the strengths in ourselves and in others; a readiness to discover the reasons for hope and the occasions for love.” ~ Joanna Macy
