ONLINE! Active Hope: Cultivating Resilience and Spiritual Wisdom in Troubling Times
Apr 17 @ 6:30 pm - Apr 18 @ 6:30 pmFree
with Kathleen Rude
WORKSHOP IS CURRENTLY FULL. See below if you’d like to be added to a waiting list. I will be offering more online workshops in May and June. They will be posted soon.
This workshop is now being offered ONLINE due to Covid-19 concerns.
In this workshop, we will move through the spiral of The Work That Reconnects with the understanding that we are all in this together! We will be reflecting on our interdependence with all life through the lens of Judeo-Christian teachings, inspiration and wisdom. Through this exploration, we will cultivate and strengthen our resilience to engage with the climate crisis, upcoming elections, environmental and social injustice and turmoil in our lives.
“Active Hope is not wishful thinking... Active Hope is waking up to the beauty of life on whose behalf we can act. We belong to this world. The web of life is calling us forth at this time and we are here to play our part. Active Hope is a readiness to discover the strengths in ourselves and in others; a readiness to discover the reasons for hope and the occasions for love.” ~ Joanna Macy
We will spend time in community and some time outside to hear what Earth and Faith are inviting us to embrace and to receive inspiration and healing for our weary, overwhelmed hearts and souls. In supportive community, we will honor our pain for the world, reconnect to active hope and find clarity around how we can play a part in the healing of our beautiful planet.
This retreat includes experiential practices, movement, inspirational readings, and simple rituals. It’s engaging, invigorating and gives you tools for dealing with the challenges of living in difficult times.

This workshop is now being offered ONLINE. It runs Friday evening from 6:30 – 9:00pm and Saturday, 9:00am – 6:00pm. We may make some adjustments to time, but we ask that you hold these times open. The format will be adjusted so we all have plenty of lengthy breaks, time outside on your own and offline time with self-reflective exercises. This will still be an interactive experience!
