Active Hope for Personal Resilience and Global Healing
May 14 @ 6:30 pm - May 15 @ 6:00 pm CDT$100 – $200
Facilitated by Kathleen Rude. This online workshop is designed with lots of breaks, offline exercises and a lunch break. The workshop is highly interactive with ritual, sharing in pairs, small groups and full group conversations. People from previous workshops report that the time seemed to fly by with no Zoom fatigue!
“Active Hope is not wishful thinking. Active Hope is not waiting to be rescued by some savior. Active Hope is waking up to the beauty of life on whose behalf we can act. We belong to this world. The web of life is calling us forth at this time and we are here to play our part. Active Hope is a readiness to discover the strengths in ourselves and in others; a readiness to discover the reasons for hope and the occasions for love.” ~ Joanna Macy
In this online workshop, we will move through the spiral of The Work That Reconnects to bring healing to our weary hearts and souls and renew our commitment to playing a part in the healing of our world. Through our exploration, we will cultivate and strengthen our resilience to engage with the Covid-19 pandemic, climate crisis, racial and environmental injustice, and overall anxiety in our lives.
We will spend time online in community and offline in self-reflection (with time outside if you’re able) to receive inspiration and healing for our weary, overwhelmed hearts and souls. In supportive and trustworthy space, we will honor our pain for the world, reconnect to active hope and find clarity around how we can play a part in the healing of our communities and our beautiful planet.
This retreat includes experiential practices, inspirational readings, singing and simple rituals. It’s engaging, invigorating and gives you tools for dealing with the challenges of living in difficult times.
Investment: $100 – $200 sliding scale.
Workshop runs: Friday 6:30PM – 9:00PM AND Saturday, 9:00AM – 6:00PM Central Time (UTC -6). You must attend both days.
