Active Hope in the Time of the CoronaVirus
May 29 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am$10 – $25
In this time of uncertainty, we need more than ever to explore what gives us hope, what it is that we love and how to actualize these understandings. This two-hour webinar, based on the work of deep ecologist and elder Joanna Macy, is designed to use our virtual community to create a safe container for us to share our thoughts and feelings.
Many of us fear that if we talk about our difficult, scary feelings we might get stuck in despair. Yet we know that keeping things to ourselves does not release them but actually gives them more power. As we are sheltering in place, isolated from others, how do we develop a vision for the future?
To explore Active Hope we move through four stages: feeling our gratitude for life, honoring our pain for the world, discovering new ways of seeing based on the interconnectedness of all life, and then going forth empowered by what we have discovered within ourselves.
Join us for this online webinar led by Lynne Iser and Mordechai Liebling, experienced and skilled facilitators, trained by Joanna Macy, who utilize these teachings in their daily lives and are gratefully in love with life herself.
Registration is on a sliding scale ($10 – $25)
