These are challenging times. Things in our lives, our communities, and the world feel like they are falling apart. How can we take this all in and not fall apart ourselves? By reconnecting to Active Hope. Active Hope calls us to live our lives in alignment with our vision of the world we long for. In this way, we become the change that can bring forth a just, regenerative, compassionate, and thriving world for all beings.
We will engage with Active Hope through the life-changing process known as the Work That Reconnects. Pioneered by Buddhist scholar and eco-philosopher Joanna Macy over 40 years ago, the Work That Reconnects has continued to evolve and deepen as a practice to transform despair, grief, and overwhelm into inspired action and loving collaboration for the healing of our world.
In this weekend workshop, we will create a supportive community where we can ground ourselves in gratitude, honor our pain for the world, reconnect to active hope, strengthen our resilience, and find clarity around how we can play a part in healing our communities and our planet. This workshop includes experiential practices, inspirational readings, meditation, and simple rituals. It’s engaging, and invigorating and gives us tools for dealing with the challenges of living in volatile times.
Participants are expected to attend both days.
