We invite you to work with us toward building a sane, loving, compassionate and brave anti-racist culture.

Facing Fragility – Towards building an anti-racist culture – is an advanced anti-racism workshop for white-bodied folx in 7 sessions along the decolonized expanded spiral of the Work That Reconnects.

This course builds emotional, somatic, cognitive and social capacity to confront white supremacy and systems of oppression while developing the tools to stay engaged without overwhelm. Through guided learning, somatic practices, and self-regulation techniques, participants will explore the difference between safety, challenge, and overwhelm, as well as activation versus trigger responses.

We recognize that systems of oppression are larger than any one individual, yet they operate through us unless actively disrupted. By building awareness and practicing nervous system regulation, we can interrupt these patterns on emotional, cognitive, and somatic levels—enabling more intentional interactions and less harmful ways of meeting our needs in mixed-race settings.

Participants will engage in practices to strengthen resilience, including resourcing, self-compassion, slowing down, and energy release techniques. We will also critically examine oppression at global, systemic, and internalized levels—acknowledging how supremacy culture shapes emotions, beliefs, and behaviors.

By the end of the course, participants will leave with a practical toolkit, including strategies for self and community suppor. We will also develop concrete “going forth” goals for disrupting oppressive systems in sustainable, meaningful ways.

This course will be offered in 7 weekly 2.5-hour sessions, with two options to meet you in your time-zone 

Tuesday May 6 – June 17 (7 weekly sessions) at 11pm-1:30am UTC, 5-7:30 pm MDT, 7-9:30 pm EDT

Thursday May 8 – June 19 (7 weekly sessions) at 5-7:30pm UTC, 11-1:30 am MDT/ 7-9:30pm CET

Cost: $900 – with a sliding scale ($450-$1,550) that is designed to meet you in your economic reality – please pay as much as you are able, honestly assessing your circumstances and in support of those who need to choose the lower end of the scale.

Scholarships (beyond the sliding scale provided) may be available. A separate scholarship-application will be required.

The course builds on your foundational understanding of anti-racist theory and white supremacy. We ask you to come prepared.
