Nectar of Active Hope
Feb 16 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST
A weekly offering designed to meet you in these very overwhelming times.
As Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone write in the new edition of Active Hope “the mainstream mode has been to avoid looking at issues if they’re too disturbing, so when we fully open our eyes to the horror, we can feel unprepared, overwhelmed, and defeated.” Yet, “we live at a unique time in human history, when our collective experience of one – traumatic process in this case, the Covid-19 pandemic” played a significant role in helping us recognize the extent of the unraveling. The Great Unraveling has entered mainstream consciousness, and we are all impacted by the emotional burden of holding this reality. Many of us are finding ourselves utterly overwhelmed, mentally and emotionally worn down and unable to commit our time to anything additional. And yet, we are in need of connection and nourishment. We are in need of a pause and some grounding.
I invite you to come to these weekly sessions when you are able. Find your own rhythms or make space for it when you can.
No commitment is necessary.
When you do attend a session, please plan to be 5 minutes early, be fully present and set everything else aside for an hour.
Registration is required for each session at www.wideningcircle.com/nectar
