Winter Gathering in Togetherness
Residential 3 day workshop in the Betuwe Region. In this gathering you experience the full spiral of the Work That Reconnects. The workshop is given in the Netherlands and facilitated by Manon Danker.
“It is my experience that the world itself has a role to play in our liberation. Its very pressures, pains, and risks can wake us up -release us from the bonds of ego and guide us home to our vast true nature.” Joanna Macy
About the Work that Reconnects: this work offers us a place of support in times of great change. Humanity faces unprecedented challenges and our commitment to a livable future needs our deep understanding of the interconnectedness of all life. We will share practices that help us remember, experience and celebrate this wonderful belonging to the Web of Life. In doing so we can embrace the vitality that is present in this moment, also in these times when we see life hanging in the balance. How can we be human in a way that honors all beings? This is an invitation to explore this in the presence of our kin.
The spiral offers us a solid and profound framework to explore our deep belonging and care for the world. Starting from gratitude we feel the nourishment of this ancient practice of giving thanks. Creating a safe space lets us be fully present for all the feelings that live inside us and open for our pain for the world. Witnessing and supporting each other in this often lonely place is liberating, empowering. Seeing with new eyes shows us ways to tap into the wisdom of many traditions, our ancestors and kin, thus we strengthen our awareness beyond our species and widen our experience of time. Here we breathe deep time and deep ecology. And coming to the fourth step of the spiral we harvest our gifts and look deeply at what is needed from us in these times. We let our deep longing speak to fuel us, to be present for the changes we want to see in our daily lives, the world, in honor of all beings.
We stay in a beautiful barn. In the barn there is a common room to relax, a workshop room, a kitchen and there are two sleeping attics. There is a roofed outdoor area and a lovely garden. You will need to bring your own warm sleeping bag and towel. Other bedding (an extra blanket, sheet and pillow) is available.
Included in the investment are the course fee, two nights stay (dormitory style, there are also some camping spots) and vegan meals.
We gather Friday afternoon for a light meal at 6 pm. The workshop starts Friday 7 pm and also includes the Saturday evening, and will end around 4.30 pm on Sunday.
The Barn is well reachable with public transportation, the bus stop is a 1 minute walk away. It is situated in a rural area, with a lovely old herbal castle garden next to it. It is within walking distance of the river Waal.
Exchange: € 285 standard, € 350 supporting, € 235 supported
We try to make the course as accessible as possible. If the supported exchange rate is not within your reach please contact me. I have a small scholarship fund that can offer extra support. Please be considerate of the investment you can make and whether you apply for the scholarship so it can be used to make this gathering accessible to a wider group of people. If you are living in abundance and want to make a donation to the supporting fund that is also possible and received with gratitude.
Registration and inquiries are made by contacting Manon Danker: firstname.lastname@example.org
Note! This course also serves as a prerequisite for the 6 Month Facilitator Training, this year is full but we hope to give one next year.
