21-23th of October Full Spiral Journey How do we come in Peace?, on December 2nd-4th a similar workshop is planned
“Peace in oneself, peace in the world”
“My actions are my only true belongings” Thich Nhat Hanh
More and more I am convinced that we need to understand how we are at peace and come in peace. In this weekend we will let the spiral guide us while we look into finding peace in ourselves, amongst humans and as part of life on Earth. How do we stand and move in balance in these times? And how does peace look like when we are honoring our pain, rage, despair, fire within and see the world burning and flooding?
How can we be better listeners? Experience that we are part of a larger body, be with humanity and her confusion and potential and tread lightly whilst being true to our place in the order of life? These are big questions and they are flowing and ongoing. We are co-creating in this work and find ways to be receptive to what comes through us when we are available to our gift of life.
This will be a 3 day residential workshop in English. We walk through the full spiral of the Work That Reconnects. The workshop is given in the Netherlands and facilitated by Manon Danker and friends.
The spiral offers us a solid and profound framework to explore our deep belonging and care for the world. Starting from gratitude we feel the nourishment of this ancient practice of giving thanks. Creating a safe space lets us be fully present for all the feelings that live inside us and open for our pain for the world. Witnessing and supporting each other in this often lonely place is liberating, empowering.
Seeing with new eyes shows us ways to tap into the wisdom of many traditions, our ancestors and kin, thus we strengthen our awareness beyond our species and widen our experience of time. Here we breathe deep time and deep ecology. And coming to the fourth step of the spiral we harvest our gifts and look deeply at what is needed from us in these times. We let our deep longing speak to fuel us, to be present for the changes we want to see in our daily lives, the world, in honor of all beings.
Included in the investment are the course fee, two nights stay (dormitory style, there are also some camping spots if you want more privacy) and all home cooked vegan meals by Zoé Saraswati.
We stay in a beautiful barn. In the barn there is a common room to relax, a workshop room, a kitchen and there are two sleeping attics. There is a roofed outdoor area and a lovely garden. You will need to bring your own warm sleeping bag and towel. Other bedding (an extra blanket, sheet and pillow) is available.
We gather Friday afternoon for a light meal at 6 pm. The workshop starts Friday 7 pm and also includes the Saturday evening, and will end 4.30 pm on Sunday.
The Barn is well reachable with public transportation, the bus stop is a 1 minute walk away. It is situated in a rural area, with a lovely old herbal castle garden next to it. It is within walking distance of the river Waal.
