Reawakening to Life: An Introduction to the Work that Reconnects
May 26 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm BST£30
We are the rainforests, protecting ourselves. We are the depth of the oceans, churning out the debris of civilization. We are the bees, the flowers, the field – the entire ecosystem.
The concept of separation has been used for ages to solidify the boundaries between human and non-human life. Separation may have been a useful strategy in the days when our dwelling was in the midst of forests filled with threat. However, today, it serves at our disadvantage. The othering of the non-human has brought us to a time when one must tolerate the background hum of machinery and perennial construction to be able to listen to birdsong.
Reawakening to Life celebrates the living, breathing biosphere that we all inhabit. It is a step on the journey of coming back to life, of realizing that you are nature, and have always been.
Join us for a journey of exploration of our love for the world, with guided meditations, creative visualizations, poetry and an experience of Work That Reconnects.
About the Work that Reconnects:
Originally developed as a powerful resourcing tool for environmental activists, the Work That Reconnects is a system of theory, processes and rituals, which offer the gift of space to develop key insights into how the inhabitants of the beautiful Earth can come together and support a truly life-sustaining shift in our hearts and minds.
In the WTR workshops, participants are able to reconnect with their inner wisdom, humanity and innate sense of belonging, with a series of experiential activities like role-play, guided meditations, movement, free writing, and interactive games and processes.
