Ce stage long propose des pratiques issues du Travail Qui Relie (Work that Reconnects).
ENGLISH
Reconnecting with nature and empowerment in response to the destruction of life on Earth
Coming back to life
Opening hearts
Healing with the Earth
How can we continue to marvel at nature when insects are disappearing and glaciers are retreating?
What can we do about solastalgia (suffering linked to the loss of the known environment)?
How can we help a heart that is closing, that no longer has the naivety of yesteryear?
How can we find compassion for human beings whose behavior is disrespectful towards nature?
This long course offers practices from Work that Reconnects. This is an approach linked to the ecopsychology movement and founded by Joanna Macy, eco-philosopher, Buddhist and Doctor in general systems theory.
The intention of the course is to weave more intimate links to ourselves, to others, and to the Living around us in order to be a source of healing for the Earth. We will go through a spiral of 4 stages in 4 days. It is a space-time given to feel the interdependence of the Living, as well as our place in this web. If I feel sadness for the disappearance of a species, it is because my heart still lives and beats in unison with it, it is because something connects me to it. What our world needs, says Thich Nhat Hanh, is to listen within us to the echoes of the Earth that cries. Emotions are the fertile ground for the healing of the Earth and the implementation of the world we want for tomorrow. What moves on the scale of my life and my body radiates more widely on the scale of the Earth. What passes through me can come from phenomena larger than me. This is what Joanna calls the small body and the big body.
We will go through practices around speech, creativity, body movement, imagination, silence, play, contemplation, exchanges, alone time and group time. We will spend time in nature to connect deeply. We enter the long time, that of the millions of years that precede us and the generations that will follow us, in the microscopic scale and the macroscopic scale, in listening to the body and that of the planet.
Workshop objectives:
Equipping anyone facing eco-anxiety or accompanying people who are
Knowing how to welcome oneself in tears or in denial
Listening to and understanding the natural environment around us
Developing resilience and commitment to the challenges of our time
This course takes place in four stages:
Day 1 – Time for gratitude
Day 2 – Time to honor our sorrows
Day 3 – Time to realize our changes in vision
Day 4 – Time to move forward
They form an organic cycle like the four seasons.
Food
The food proposed for this workshop is plant-based food, living or cooked, which brings abundance and gratitude for the Living to the course. Nourishing our cells with plants, fruits, vegetables supports our metabolism. You will be invited to bring your culinary and plant-based specialties on the first evening.
Location of the internship
The location has not yet been defined but will be in French-speaking Switzerland, probably in the canton of Vaud, in a house in a mountainous or rural area. It is recommended to sleep on site (people living in neighboring villages can choose to sleep at home, with the risk of changes in atmosphere and adaptations related to these). Indeed, the activities last all day as well as in the evening after dinner. It is not possible to leave the workshop for external commitments. The membrane that forms the group is constituted for 4 days of immersion. Please therefore reserve the full block from the evening of the 23rd to the 27th as soon as you register. If you have the possibility, it is good to have an integration, transition or rest time after the workshop.
Financial participation
The fixed costs (accommodation, food, miscellaneous …) as well as the remuneration for the workshop animation will be covered by conscious participation. The amount of the fixed costs will be presented in complete transparency. Everyone will give what they consider fair in accordance with their own financial means. A generous and conscious participation thus makes it possible for less well-off people to come. To get an idea and depending on the total number of participants, this workshop would cost around 500.- per person.
Registration
Registration is done by email with your first and last name to micael@unautremonde.ch. For organizational reasons and having experienced many cancellations just before the training, we ask you to kindly notify us by October 9, 2024 of your withdrawal from the training. Registration is valid when you pay 100.- (non-refundable in the event of withdrawal but transferable to another person in your entourage). The IBAN will be sent to you by return email. This amount will be included in full in the financial contribution that you make at the end of the course.

Since that day, he has shared it in different contexts such as internships, demonstrations, blockades, popular and citizen assemblies and with different audiences such as the University of Lausanne, Extinction Rebellion, Climate Strike, Transition Network, and the public of civil society.
Silouane Bricout
Silouane has been practicing Work That Connects (TQR) since 2018 and for three years, in several months of immersion in the forests of Belgium between women, or even later with the TQR network in France and Switzerland. His experience, his sensitivity, his deep humanity have led him to facilitate groups with delicacy, in the joy of sharing. His work thus contributes to anchoring TQR in our region.
Jonathan Conti
He describes himself as a great playful monkey who came down from the trees, but who is never really far from them. He frequented them very closely as a forester and lumberjack. He then integrated them into the rest of the living by studying ecology, this daughter of biology that is interested in the interactions between individuals. He now speaks of them as forest ecosystems in the “nature management” sector at Hépia.
Let’s put our bare feet together on this Earth that carries us.
