The WTR Network’s Social Justice Committee brings you “The Eternal Song: Wisdom of the Ancestors” Film Series and Discussions.
To accommodate our global community of members – these discussions are happening at two different times : June 25, 2026 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm PDT AND June 26, 2026 @ 7:00 am – 8:30 am PDT.
This series of twelve deeply moving films invites us into a space of remembrance, honouring Indigenous resilience and sacred wisdom, while bearing witness to the intergenerational trauma of colonization, cultural erasure, and ongoing inequities. They echo the threads we explore in the WTR: honoring our pain for the world, reconnecting with the Earth, and listening for what is alive within and around us.
Beginning with the first film, The Eternal Song, we warmly invite you to watch the film online in your own time before coming together for a community reflection and discussion. Together, we will explore our place within these systems with humility and care, and gently support the work of collective healing—within ourselves, our communities, and our relationship with the Earth.
Filmed across Indigenous lands from the Arctic to the Amazon, this new documentary series is not just a collection of films—it is a transmission. A thread of memory and prayer woven through 11 Indigenous communities, each carrying their own ancestral songs of grief, resilience, and belonging.
Our friends and filmmakers Zaya and Maurizio Benazzo at Science & Nonduality (SAND) thought they were making a film about intergenerational trauma. But what emerged was a prayer for collective remembering, an invocation to the rhythms of Earth.

The Eternal Song film series is a remembrance of our original belonging—to Earth, to each other, and to the ancestors that have never stopped singing.
This is more than a series of film screenings. It’s a global circle of listening.
