The Work that Reconnects – a one day introduction and experience

Nov 14, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm GMT

The Work That Reconnects is a transformational body of theory & practice about our world and our relationship with it.

Based on the teachings of eco-philosopher, teacher and activist Joanna Macy, it first emerged in the late 1970s, drawing from deep ecology, systems theory and spiritual traditions.

It builds motivation, creativity, courage and solidarity for the transition to a sustainable human culture. The ideas and practices support people to move from a sense of isolation and confusion to a sense of participation and purpose in our world as we continue to undergo tumultuous and rapid changes during our lifetime.

This is an online, interactive workshop, where each participant can play a role in co-creating the space and in making a positive impact to the collective. There is lots of time for you to explore issues in depth in pairs and smaller groups including:

a) “The Work that Reconnects“ and how it can help us personally and professionally to face ongoing, challenging times – it allows us to open our eyes, our minds, and hearts

b) The “Three Stories of our Time” – our version, our reality, and the lenses through which we see and understand what is happening in our world, and which can hold us back or help us to go forward

c) The “Spiral” – the four stages of a transformational journey that helps us experience that we are more significant, stronger, more creative, and more deeply interconnected than many of us realized.

We hope the day will build new engagement or strengthen what you are already thinking, feeling and doing. This will be a profound and valuable experience and should you wish to go onto train as a WTR facilitator will help towards any pre-training requirements.
