Receiving the Gifts – Network Newsletter, August 2022

Frieda Nixdorf · Aug 31, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Dear Work That Reconnects Network Family and Friends,

This past week our team of weavers, staff and volunteers gathered in Council. With the intention to connect within deep presencing and listening, we are creating spaces to get to know each other beyond the tasks and roles we each attend to in support of the Network. As we meet across the globe with this growing team, we continue to feel the threads of our widening circles of global community.

The practice of gathering in Council is based on ancient methods for connecting as a community. This process is used by many cultures as a way of exercising deep listening and moving forward together.

The principles we used to guide our Council gathering are:

  • Listen from the heart
  • Share from the heart
  • Be lean of speech, practicing generosity and allowing space for others
  • Offer spontaneity, responding in the present moment, rather than pre-scripting
  • Practice confidentiality
  • Refrain from cross-talk, comments kept general and not personally-directed
  • Speak from personal experience

Read on to meet our new WTR Network Weavers, welcome new facilitators and register for upcoming webinars and facilitator-hosted events.

Yours in the Great Turning,

🌀 WTR Network Weavers Team
Constance, Frieda, Helen, Jo, Kathleen, Mutima, Paula, Shayontoni and Silvia
