September 16, 2022 – Dr. Bayo Akomolafe’s inquiry into postactivism challenges our conventional notions of activism and agency by asking the question: “What do we do when our response to the crisis becomes part of the crisis?” In a world replete with ever-increasing and compounding social and environmental crises, Bayo invites us to not just think outside of the box, but to “touch the box” by troubling our centrality within the complex, interconnected circumstances of a living world ‘suddenly’ alive, agential, and animated.
