How to Create Online WTR Offerings in a time of Social Distancing

Dear fellow WTR facilitators,

As we announced in our previous newsletter and on the website, we have been preparing to provide guidance to you so you can use online tools to meet, offer support and run WTR workshops. We are happy to announce that we have put together two upcoming webinars to help you bring the Work That Reconnects to your online communities in this time of great need.

The first webinar will be focused on the technical side of setting up and facilitating an online WTR offering. The second webinar will focus on how to facilitate WTR practices in an online setting and how to support our communities through online offerings.

Each webinar will be offered at two different times to accommodate all of the time zones we are in around the world.

Technical Support, Set up and Promotion

We will cover:

  1. Using the WTR to prepare online meetings, webinars and cafes
  2. Promoting your offerings (website and social media through WTR)
  3. How to schedule and offer online meetings and webinars: open and closed registrations
  4. Using interactive features: rooms for discussion, sharing screen, co-hosting, chat, etc.
  5. Recording and posting webinars
  6. Best practices when facilitating online from social justice and the WTR
  7. Questions & Answers session
  8. Online resources you can use and share
  9. How to stay connected and strong

Offering WTR Online to Build Community Resilience.

This webinar will explore ways to use WTR online to build community resilience. The Work That Reconnects is so needed in this time of the pandemic and the Great Unraveling. As facilitators, we can reach out to our local communities and neighborhoods to provide connection, inspiration, and a framework for moving into the Great Turning together. Using Work That Reconnects practices and concepts in an online setting, we can invite people to come together across the current physical distancing as well as across historic racial and social divides to find ways to support each other in harmony with our Mother Earth.

We will share practices from Work That Reconnects and other sources that we have adapted to work online. We’ll also share suggestions for timing and structuring webinars using the Spiral that we have found work well, while mentioning pitfalls to avoid and offering templates for designing your own offerings.

Constance has been studying and practicing the Work That Reconnects since 1994. In 2014 she began to focus on doing the Work fulltime.
