I’m passionate about human transformation in service of the living Earth in order to uncover the regenerative expression of our deep potentials.
Integral ecopsychologist, academic professor, contemplative teacher, author, ritualist-–these are some of the tags that help give voice to my vocation. My work is often considered a Latin American referent when it comes to Deep Ecology, Ecopsychology, and Earth-based spirituality.
At the heart of what I offer there’s a confluence of Eastern liberation teachings, Earth-based traditions, and Ecopsychologies, resulting in an elemental framework for self-discovery, healing, and regenerative action. I’ve been engaged in transformative education for the last 17 years, actively offering workshops and talks to academic audiences and the general public. I’ve worked with individuals for the past 9 years through a contemplative, eco-systemic, animistic, and transpersonal lens. I’m the author of a handful of books and translator into Spanish of Joanna’s and Molly's Coming back to life book (the guide for the Work That Reconnects, both its 1996 and 2014 versions).
I'm the founder of Work That Reconnects Latin America, initiative that assists Spanish speaking people from the Americas and beyond in reclaiming their true, wild place in the Earthly web of life.
Why I am called to facilitate the Work
The Work That Reconnects (WTR) has been a faithful inspiration and close ally for many years. I'm called to facilitate the Work due to its transformative potentials and life-affirming influence amidst this critical planetary juncture we find ourselves in.
How I see the Work serving the Great Turning
Amidst the Great Unraveling, the Great Turning represents the possibility of reconnecting with our true humanity, out of which the possibility of a brighter future for all is born. The Work paves a compassionate pathway back home.
Audiences I work with
Academic settings, environmental educators & activists, clergy, psychologists, ritualists, therapists, general public.
