Beth Hill is Melbourne based author, teacher and activist. In 2017, she completed her PhD in anthropology which looks at the various forces that shape local community responses to climate change following disaster events. Her research is particularly concerned with the disavowal of vulnerability which contributes to climate change denial and disconnection from nature. Beth has been facilitating the Work that Reconnects since 2013, and has participated in various trainings with Joanna Macy since 2012. Beth has daily Buddhist meditation practice and volunteers with the group Psychology for a Safe Climate facilitating workshops to help with climate-related grief and conflict.
