Why I am called to facilitate the Work

Co-founder of the association Ecologie Profonde, I have been practicing for several years the facilitation of spaces for relationships, whether in collective intelligence work, innovative modes of governance, or in groups of speech and experience around deep ecology, in particular Work That Reconnects. As a coach, a private science teacher, and an activist (through the Climate Collage NGO, the French Unconditionnal Basic Income NGO, and others), I combine my passions and experiences in support of projects for a world that sustains life.
Very curious, I like to discover other views on the world, other cultures through people.

How I see the Work serving the Great Turning

I very much like the melting pot, the intersection that is the WTR through the embodied melting pot that is Joanna Macy. This melting pot serves to gather people who may have different worldviews, few spontaneous shared interests, and enables for them to live the same experiences and open their eyes.
This is also a process that embraces emotions, when even in NGOs most are repressed. It gives space to their expression and their belonging to our experience of the world and to our connection to the whole web of life, starting from oneself. In times of Great Unraveling and Turning, rollercoasters of emotions are inevitable for many people, WTR offers the opportunity to make sense of these, to strenghten our resolves, and to go forth.

Other relevant skills & experiences

My initial studies were in Biology and Health, and I'm very fond of sciences in general, so that inspires me in the sciencey part of WTR, for particular exercices like deep time walks, the milling, the various ones about gifts from our many ancestors.

I've been a tutor for students from collège and lycée for a decade, in sciences and maths, with a practice focused on listening, asking questions, emulating students to find and craft knowledge and skills.

I encountered Non Violent Communication, and try to use it in everyday life, in particular in my closest relationships. That suely guides my speech and the way I hear what people say. Having met Dominic Barter, participated in its workshops, I'm inspired by restorative justice and the practices of restorative circles and many other aspects of his teachings like "contractual" support network. That helps me look at conflicts and their parts in a different way.

I like to connect networks, to share knowledge and experience, to support people creating new projects. I find myself to be the kind of pioneer spirit, of those who enter the new paths open by a few and who design and create structures, who provide support and wisdom to the burgeoning of projects.

I love reading and learning, sharpening my mind with new tools, new perspectives, new frameworks, and designing workshops, being creative in a team, mixing practices. That helps in creating lively workshops, inspired by the moment of time and the desires.

Experience facilitating WTR events & workshops

Work That Reconnects workshops I have facilitated

  • Labo TQR (2018, 5 days)
    Location: France
Facilitated by: Florence Métin, Amélie Lambet-Serrant
Started in late 2017. 5 days over 5 months, 1 introductory day and 1 day for every step of the spiral. This was an experiment to train ourselves in facilitating WTR right after our shared experience in 2017.
  • Stage de Travail Qui Relie (2019, 2 days)
    Location: France
    Facilitated by: Julien Maury
  • Découverte du Travail Qui Relie (2020, 0.5 days)
    Location: Bordeaux
Facilitated by: Julien Maury, Nora Manon Müller
A dozen of half a day workshops, in person and online workshops

Experience facilitating other events & workshops

I facilitated a dozen of half a day WTR workshops from 2018 to this day (April 2021), 3 on my own in a professional setting with entrepreneurs and cooperators, the others with Julien Maury or Nora Manon Müller as part of the actions of our NGO www.ecologieprofonde.org.
I regularly organize or participate in videocalls centered around our practices along with other facilitators from the French network that's currently emerging, where we use the spiral to guide our process.
I held a covid-19 support group using the spiral.
In 2021 I cofacilitated a Spring celebration mixing pagan rites, WTR, permaculture.
