I am a Unitarian Universalist Jewish minister serving a mid-sized congregation in a suburb of Chicago, IL; mother of one, stepmother to two remarkable adults. I am a relatively cis-gender female, bisexual married to a cisgender man -- a fact that remains a surprise to me. I have been an activist (antiwar, antinuclear, feminist/radical feminist, LGBTQ, immigrant rights) for most of my life and, although I have been heartbroken in many ways, I can't surrender to despair. I attended a weeklong workshop with Joanna Macy 4 years ago and saw how powerful TWR can be. I believe in the transforming beauty and power of the Great Story and in the role we can each play in writing it more justly for the future.
Over the last 8 years, I have worked to understand the strangely intersecting planes of white-skin privilege and Jewish ethnicity in my identity and history.
I have been studying Spanish, independently for two years, love it and need more practice and time to study.
I was a massage therapist and energy worker for 14 years and I believe in the integration of the mind/heart/body and the world.
