Kolleen BouchanePinwheel Strategies

My biggest inspiration is creative leaders who stand up for themselves and others, and speak their truth — and storytellers, strategists, wonks, geeks, and philosophers of all stripes who laugh easily and work hard — which is why I am so moved by Joanna Macy and the Work that Reconnects. I am passionate about the environment and lifelong learning and am on a mission to support other leaders to create the lives, organizations, and world they imagine though my coaching and organizational work.

For the two decades before founding my company, Pinwheel Strategies, I worked in international development and social justice in several senior policy and campaigning roles in Washington DC and London, including managing multi-million dollar, multi-country global advocacy campaigns as the Director of the ACTION Global Health Advocacy Partnership.

While supporting clients to find and create more joy and have more impact at work and in life is at the heart of my coaching and support philosophy, this aim is matched by deep commitment to supporting clients to use all the challenges and opportunities they are facing to build deeper, more meaningful, and more connected lives.

I have a BA in International Studies from University of Washington, an MA in Conflict, Security and Development from Kings College London, and an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University. I served with the United States Army in Somalia and South Korea, am a certified yoga teacher as well as certified the Polarity Approach to Continuity and Transformation (PACT), and TetraMap — a learning model designed to grow everyone's potential by valuing diversity.

One day I will be a WTR facilitator!
