Mark Steiner has facilitated classes, workshops, ceremonies, and presentations on Creation Spirituality, Environmental Spirituality and the Universe Story since 1992. He serves as a facilitator for the Pachamama Alliance's Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium and deep ecologist Joanna Macy's Work that Reconnects.

Presently Mark serves as an adult advisor for the Kentucky Youth Climate Strike, advisor for the youth and media program, PeaceCasters which he cofounded in 2007, President of the Louisville Earth Walk and a member of the coordinating team for Louisville Showing Up for Racial Justice.

The "Out of the Box" workshop he created with Catherine Browning on the Universe Story was featured in the fall 2000 issue of EarthLight magazine. Mark is a cofounder and director of Cultivating Connections, a Louisville, Kentucky grassroots not-for-profit with a focus on "Nurturing and Celebrating Our Connections with Each Other and with Our World". Cultivating Connections has hosted workshops and lectures with a variety of change makers including Matthew Fox, Julia Butterfly Hill, David Korten, Joanna Macy, John Seed and Jean Houston.
