Michael Kearney

I am originally from Ireland and now living in Santa Barbara, California. For over 30 years I have worked as a physician in hospice and palliative care and published two books, "Mortally Wounded: Stories of Soul Pain, Death, and Healing," and "A Place of Healing: Working with Nature and Soul at the End of Life." In recent years I have become increasingly aware that much in our world that is so precious is dying. Working with others, I want to do all I can to bring healing to our world for the sake of all beings. I am so happy to learn of Joanna Macy's work, and to have had the opportunity to train with her, and have started to offer retreats and workshops incorporating The Work That Reconnects with my wife, psychologist and Buddhist meditation teacher, Radhule Weininger.
