Olivier LEDRU has over twenty years management experience as an engineer in the service of sustainable development of territories. Trained in The Work That Connects in 2019-20, he became a facilitator to contribute to growing together towards more just and life-sustaining societies. From the Drôme area, he is primarily involved in supporting young adults and decision makers in organisations, integrating sensitive, scientific and artistic approaches. He meditates daily and practices reconnection to nature in a concrete way.

Why I am called to facilitate the Work

Trained in The Work That Connects in 2019-20, I became a facilitator to contribute to growing together towards more just and life-sustaining societies.
From the Drôme area, France, I am primarily involved in supporting young adults and decision makers in organisations, integrating sensitive, scientific and artistic approaches.

How I see the Work serving the Great Turning

My first WTR workshop in 2018 changed my life: I could effectively reconnect with Mother Earth thanks to the activities proposed along the spiral and the particular contact with one tree in the forest close to the workshop’s venue.
Since then, I am deeply convinced that reconnection with oneself, other human beings and non-human beings is key to serve the Great Turning.
Out of many processes and tools that I know, The Work That Reconnects is the one that fully allows to achieve such reconnection.

Other relevant skills & experiences

As senior lecturer at CentraleSupélec High School of Engineering in Paris, I developed group teaching skills with young adults. In this regard, G. Lakey’s book helped me a lot!

I had the opportunity to travel a lot. I lived and worked in several countries besides France: Germany, Sweden, El Salvador, India, Brazil. These experiences developed my sense of curiosity, cross-cultural openness and the learning of 5 languages in addition to French: English, German, Swedish, Spanish and Portuguese

Experience facilitating other events & workshops

In 2021 and 2022, I facilitated WTR and Performing Arts workshops with students in Performing Arts from Montpellier University. 4- to 5-days workshops where we went through the full spiral and students were invited to create live performances in nature.

Moreover, I work as Innovation Manager in a large Design & Consultancy firm called Egis. Since I discovered the WTR, I regularly use open sentences and the logic of the spiral during innovation workshop or seminars
I try to bring the idea of reconnection with nature and all living beings in the corporate world but it is not easy, especially in the French cartesian context Same for the work with emotions.

As facilitator of ecological transition workshops with High School students, I introduce the work with emotions
