Eco-social & regenerative worker. Yoga teacher, Community being.
First meet WTR on 2010 and touched me so deelply.
Since 2013 I’m co-facilitating WTR workshops and retreats in Spain with Kirsty Heron. In 2018 - 2019 I've been travelling in Latinoamerica sharing WTR and Dragon Dreaming, as well as learning and integrating. During the last years 2020 and 2021 facilitating also online along with other colleagues from Spain.
I also facilitate Dragon Dreaming which drinks from Deep Ecology, and I am deeply interested in all the new ways that remind us how to live better on Earth.
I have lived in off grid in permacultural communities since 2010 in the South of Spain. Take part in different groups and networks and being yoga teacher.
I love communities, human and natural, and what I feel and learn from being part of them.
I love being of service in bringing healing technologies to all beings. When I discover something that sparks in my soul I can't help but follow the call and share it, as the born communicator that I am. More info www.patriciacañasrios.com

Why I am called to facilitate the Work

Since I first came across this work in 2010 it touched me deeply, and since then I wanted to deepen and share it. The response it gives to the current need for reconnection.
The possibility to explore and share feelings as deep, as joyful and painful. It is like a balm for people's hearts in the present moment.
The possibility it opens to give space to other beings and to the earth itself to express themselves, to be heard and to unite, for the healing of all.
The sharing and weaving of this web in which we feel accompanied not only by other humans but by the whole web of life. Especially for activists, who sometimes feel exhausted and burned out, and also for all sensitive people.
As an answer to a question that is always in my mind: "What can I do to motivate people to take action on what is happening in the world?
Personally, I feel that I am a born facilitator, I love to share everything that touches and transforms me and that I feel is valid and beneficial for people, creatures and the world; I have been doing so for more than 20 years. And in particular with WTR too, because in Spain there are very few people facilitating this work and I feel that it is so much needed.

How I see the Work serving the Great Turning

I see it serving in different ways, many, really more and more....
From the most personal and intimate to the global, in a healing that is connected and acts on different levels and planes.
On the one hand helping us to reconnect with inner feelings, whether of joy, gratitude or pain.
Recovering the pain and grieving, and making them ours again, helping us to recover a healthy expression of our feelings. Accompanying us also to come out of apathy and to take transformative actions.
Also to feel accompanied on this path, to know that we are not alone, to be able to support and share with other human beings (and not only) to create networks of support and action. To create spaces for sharing based on trust and compassion, which are so needed. To re-create community, to recreate a social structure where it has been practically dismantled.
To grow, to expand our self, to leave the anthropocentrism and connect with the ecological self, and the other beings that are part of the world we share.
To open a space for other voices to be heard.
To acknowledge these actions as peaceful and compassionate acts of subversion and rebellion.
Helping us to identify and design the next steps and actions we can take, for the Great Turning.
And giving a theoretical, understandable framework that helps to situate all the things that are happening and make coherent sense of them.

Experience facilitating other events & workshops

I have been facilitating different types of Workshops and Courses for different audiences (children, young people, adults, people with different abilities...) since 2002.
I have incorporated WTR practices
- practices in my Dragon Dreaming DD workshops, as they are closely related and have some common bases.
In 2015, we designed and conducted a 3-day DD and WTR workshop interweaving the 2 techniques, with amazing and beautiful results (I would love to repeat it).
- In the PDC Permaculture Design Courses where I've been co-facilitating - In some activist group facilitation sessions.
I have used some WTR practices in group meetings in the communities where I have lived.
At this point in my life, I particularly practice gratitude every day, and I am creating space to honour the pain and see with new eyes on my nature walks and my sacred moments at home.
