Robert CroonquistYouth Arts New York/Hibakusha Stories

Photo of Robert Croonquist

48-year affiliation with Hearthshire School, Covelo, CA, a back-to-the-land commune in Covelo, CA, a community, serving as the President of its Board of Directors since 2008. I taught in a NYC public high school for 20 years and for 15 years have coordinated programs in nuclear disarmament, mass incarceration and peace action for high school students with a not-for-profit I founded called Youth Arts New York. Our signature program has been Hibakusha Stories, bringing atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki to high school and college students to tell their stories.
