I offer 75 songs for the Great Turning on my website -- go to Sarah Hope Sings, https://sarahpirtle.com/hope-sings/social-change.htm -- freely given as part of the gift economy. I first attended a workshop with Joanna in 1981 and began facilitating with Joe Havens. In 1984 Joanna invited me to assist at the first training for trainers. I became part of the first Board, then called Interhelp, and I lived and breathed Interhelp, constantly keeping my mind on ideas for trainings. I remember especially the experience of leading trainings by myself in Cincinatti and at the Andover Newton Theological Center and as part of a team with Joanna at Interface with so many remarkable people each learning from each other. Aravinda Ananda and Joseph Rotella urged me to get re-involved several years ago and I dove back in with two feet and full heart. Aravinda created an interview for Deep Times about how songs I wrote can be used in trainings from the Hope Sings website. My first book -- An Outbreak of Peace -- has just come back into print and is described at www.sarahpirtle.com along with my nine recordings and five books which are about peace education. The site describes my DEI work and Bridge4Unity and Hands Across the Hills -- two dialogue groups I'm active in. My current project is creating stories to bring to life ancient partnership times, the suppressed history of peace, and it's called Green Flame Gatherings. Contact me to receive a link to join a small circle to hear a story that is performed live by zoom.
