Coming Together in the Great Turning: Updated Work That Reconnects Framing and Practices
November 7, 2026 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm UTC
Event Overview
In the 14 years since the most recent edition of Coming Back to Life was published, people have continued to learn about ways the Work That Reconnects facilitation can grow and evolve, especially related to how oppression and power dynamics can manifest in group spaces. The recently published book Coming Together in the Great Turning: Collective Liberation and Work That Reconnects (November 2025, New Society Publishers) offers valuable updates and changes to Work That Reconnects framing, practices, and facilitation approaches so the Work can be safer and more welcoming for all.
Coming Together in the Great Turning: Collective Liberation and Work That Reconnects, recipient of the Nautilus Gold Book Award in the social justice category, includes chapters or sections from 15 different authors from around the world. Join two of the book’s author/editors – Molly Brown, who co-authored Coming Back to Life with Joanna Macy, and Aravinda Ananda, a lead convenor of the Anti-Oppression Resource Group – for this two-hour webinar that will explore many of the key updates and suggested changes to Work That Reconnects.
