Dear Friends,
With heavy hearts, we share the news of Margo van Greta’s sudden passing on July 29, 2026. She died soon after receiving a diagnosis of late-stage cancer. Her death came as a terrible shock to all of us in the WTR Network. Just two months before, she had returned from a long retreat in Spain, when Kathleen and Jo saw her on a Zoom call. She was glowing from her time away. It’s hard to comprehend that Margo is no longer with us.
Originally from the Netherlands, Margo was passionate about integrating spiritual practice into daily life. She taught Buddhism and was a longtime Work That Reconnects Facilitator who studied with Joanna whenever she offered workshops at Findhorn Eco-village, where Margo had lived since 1991. Along with facilitating, Margo offered a WTR facilitator development training and was a dedicated volunteer on the Network’s Member Support Committee for the last three years. She regularly hosted the monthly Facilitator Calls, sharing her talents, experience and welcoming presence to everyone who attended her offerings.

Eco-spiritual nourishment
Go for a walk. Find space in nature near where you live. Connect with the trees, the flowers, the river, sea, hills or mountains. When you are in nature, experience the nature inside of you, not just around you. Look at the sky. See its vastness, its spaciousness, its translucent quality. Then think: “this is what I really am”. Your consciousness is clear, vast and spacious, like the sky. Stay there as long as you can.
May we look into the vastness of the sky and remember Margo, our beloved colleague, friend, teacher and mentor. I imagine Joanna has already welcomed her with open, joy-filled arms into the sacred realm of cherished ancestors.
