EVENT OVERVIEW:

For people who care about our planet and want to make a positive contribution to healing our world. The first healing comes from ourselves. If we heal ourselves, we heal the planet. A 10 day journey using the tools of the Work That Reconnects to disintoxicate from our patriarchal biases, Re-matriating with maternal and Mother Earth values, our Big Mama, as Joanna Macy calls her in her seminars. This is the underlying program of this intensive workshop: Disintoxication from Patriarchy and healing to discover what is Re-Matriating ourselves with maternal and with Mother Earth values.

It will be an experience filled with reconnecting activities following the Spiral Work. We will share knowledge, inspiration, meals, meditations, rituals, and most importantly live in community while also sharing the everyday community living roles. In grounding presence, we will prepare ourselves to listen to the wise guidance of Mother Nature calling for manifestation. 

This is a ten days journey head, heart, hand, body, soul and spirit. Get in touch with your inner qualities, acknowledging your strengths, vulnerability, challenges and courage! This immersion explores the psychological, emotional and spiritual dimensions of our relationship with the Earth, the Great Mother of us all and all our bioregions. We will start decolonizing the patriarchal model that has been ruling the last 6000 years of our history proving to be detrimental to life on earth. It is time to decolonize it in ourselves, because this androcentric vision in all the spheres of human society is deeply toxic and bringing us to extinction. We will work also at maternal pro-life values. Values that have been buried in the collective unconscious by brutal patriarchal dominations.  This methodology invites us to reinvent ourselves in more conscious and purposeful ways, in service of our well-being, that of our loved ones, our communities and life itself.

We greet the idea that the interaction with the other participants will be an essential aspect of this workshop to create the healthy resilient communities of the future we seek to live in.

Location: On the hillsides of Narni, surrounded by woods and olive trees this old farmhouse is the home of MatriCulture, project led by the association BestUp Aps to create a school for Matriarchal Studies and  Women’s Empowerment. The main house hosts 10 people. The house has 3 fully equipped bathrooms, a big common area for study, a library, a big kitchen for cooking together, an area for eating inside that welcomes 10 people and many outside areas to eat and work. There is also a big common studio area, which is also a yoga room where to work together. Lots of land surrounds the house to create safe spaces and enable participants to install their tents. Composting area, a dry toilet, and outside showers are being built for the sake of happy campers. We have recently built a sweat lodge for ceremonies.  There is also an outside wood oven. The house and land are designed with permaculture and sustainable building principles. We honor Mother Earth!
