At this time on Earth new stories are being called in to inspire and guide us to the thriving future we want for all life. When we meet storytelling as a practice that connects us—to ourselves, our community, the Earth, and the unseen world of imagination, it becomes a sacred act. Storytelling, as a practice, weaves together past, present, and future, supporting rediscovery of both our deepest struggles and our greatest gifts. When practiced as a sacred art, storytelling connects us to something larger than ourselves, allowing us to pass on our gifts across generations.

In this webinar, Constance Washburn will introduce the important role of stories in the Work That Reconnects and Leah Lamb will guide us into the practice of sacred storytelling. Through journaling and small group sharing of our stories of personal transformation and our experiences with the Work That Reconnects we will expand our gifts as storytellers and change agents.

Leah Lamb is a Story Practitioner who engages story as a tool for healing and transformation. She supports Story being recognized as an ancient healing art that supports the liberation of consciousness and supports the expression of our full potential.

Leah has led Sacred Storytelling Ceremonies around the country, presented at Bioneers, Hollyhock, and Google conferences. She has been published in Spirituality & Health Magazine, Good Magazine, National Geographic News Watch, Fast Company, and Huffington Post. She produced The Green Channel for Al Gore’s Current TV, and covered The UN Climate Talks in Paris and Copenhagen.

Leah is the founder of The School for Sacred Storytelling, and created The Speak Your Spark program. She was the arts and dialogue consultant for The National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation. Her prior work as a social worker involved crisis intervention and guiding youth at risk through the wilderness for seven years.

Constance Washburn is​ an educator, facilitator, organizer and program designer. She has been practicing the Work That Reconnects since 1994. She is co-director of the International Spiral Journey- a WTR Facilitator Development Program and on the core Weavers Team of the Work That Reconnects Network. She is a founding member of the Elders Action Network and The Passageways to Elderhood Alliance.

Constance served as Education Director at the Marin Agricultural Land Trust and Marin Organic. She co-founded and directed the Marin Agriculture and Education Alliance which brought together countywide agricultural and educational organizations to introduce Bay Area teachers and students to the wonders of local food and farms.

Constance has a MA in Education and Theater and taught and directed multi – cultural theater companies. She has certificates in the Ecology of Leadership, Permaculture Design and Transforming Business, Society, and Self from U.Lab MITx and Community Resilience Model training in working with trauma. She is a mindfulness/meditation instructor in the Vajrayana Tradition and a long time yoga practitioner.
