Dancing the Spiral
July 18, 2026 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am UTC
Event Overview
Dancing the Spiral:
A Somatic Movement Journey Through the Work that Reconnects
Dancing the Spiral is an embodied exploration inspired by The Work That Reconnects that invites us back into relationship with ourselves, each other, and the wider web of life. Through guided movement, somatic awareness, and embodied exercises, this workshop translates the Spiral into the language of the body in its most natural state: movement. We move, feel and become the different stages of the expanded Spiral of the Work that Reconnects.
Rooted in somatics, improvisation, and collective presence, Dancing the Spiral offers a space for the body to become both the witness and the guide, and in doing so, we’re unearthing our capacity to feel as inseparable from our capacity to respond.
No dance experience is needed, we only ask for your willingness to listen, to move, and to be moved.

Dancing the Spiral – A somatic movement journey through the Work that Reconnects meets the prerequisites of 12-hour WTR full spiral group work.
Samuel Tettner:
Samuel is a dance and movement researcher and practitioner, interested in how dance can be a tool for creating new, more sustainable, and just ways of relating to humans and the planet. He has researched the power of dance in Sufism, in contemporary spiritual-but-not-religious communities, and he currently conceptualizes and facilitates spaces for wellness and wellbeing using dance.
Sara El-Sayeh:
Sara is an Egyptian writer, (single) mother and facilitator roaming the fault lines of Cairo. Post-revolution and mid-collapse, her work explores what it means to belong, and at times completely refusing to where demands that she becomes convenient.
As she maps the coordinates of single motherhood: the labyrinth of repair and care as resistance, her work helps (her) navigate the freeze of capitalism while slowly weaving communities of care to nourish us through times of collapse. Sara’s work is deeply informed by her life and spiritual practice and among the teachers (and books) that have inspired her are David Fleming’s Surviving the Future, Joanna Macy, Kurt Vonnegut’s short play 2BOR02B and Starhawk’s The Fifth Sacred Thing.
