Seventh Generation Workshop

April 6, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm EDT

$10-$30 CAD

Organizer
Natalie Zend

Event Overview

Experience yourself as an ancestor. See our times through the eyes of a descendant. The “Seventh Generation” ritual invites us to reinhabit time in a saner way as we feel our connection to generations past and future.

In supportive community, we will honor our pain for the world, reconnect to active hope, and find clarity around how we can play a part in the self-healing of our planet. The workshop, based inJoanna Macy‘s Work That Reconnects, is highly interactive, with community ritual, pair and group sharing, and circle singing.

Who is it for?

Anyone curious to experience the Work That Reconnects, feeling distress about the state of the world, or wanting to engage in meaningful action to address the challenges of our time without burning out.

The workshop will be capped at 40 participants.

What might I take away from this workshop?

  • A strengthened sense of connection with yourself, others and the planet
  • Renewed inspiration and hope
  • A clearer sense of your part in responding to the current global multi-crisisLogistics
  • Doors open at 1:30 pm
  • We will start at 2 pm sharp
  • Tea and snacks provided
  • Tax-deductible donations to NUUC in addition to ticket price gratefully accepted

“The most remarkable feature of this historical moment on Earth is not that we are on the way to destroying the world. We’ve actually been on the way for quite a while. It is that we are beginning to wake up, as from a millennia-long sleep, to a whole new relationship to our world, to ourselves and each other.”
- Joanna Macy

“This was an incredibly powerful experience… although there was a lot of discussion it transcended words, invoking a shift in the self at a core level.”
participant in one of Natalie’s previous Work That Reconnects workshops
