The Dance That Reconnects

Event Overview

Immerse yourself in a one-day workshop exploring the Spiral work of Joanna Macy, supported by the Dances of Universal Peace.  The Dances are a joyous, multi-cultural way to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and others.  The Dances use sacred phrases, chants, music, and movements from many spiritual traditions from around the world to promote peace and create an integrated experience of body, mind and spirit.    The in person workshop activities will run from 9am to 5pm, and then there will be an evening program of Dances of Universal Peace from 7 to 9pm  to integrate the whole day.  The event is in Salem, Oregon, USA.

Joanna’s legacy, known as the Work That Reconnects, “helps people around the world discover and experience their innate connections with each other and the self-healing powers of the web of life, transforming despair and overwhelm into inspired, collaborative action.”  There will be ritual, song, dance, meditation, and other activities that help us find our truth and energize us to bring our gifts forward into the complex needs of our world.  The event will be led by four veteran certified leaders of the Dances of Universal Peace:  Munajat Marti Dimock, Kalama Reuter, Ka Ginger Hayra, and Saraswati Andrea Burke.
